Paws ‘n’ Rec, an award-winning pet resort brand, and Pet Resort Hospitality Group Partner are thrilled to announce the opening of their newest location in Bentonville, Arkansas, on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. They’re now taking reservations for top-tier dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training, elevating the standard of care for pets and pet owners in Northwest Arkansas.
Paws ‘n’ Rec Bentonville is not only the largest pet resort in Northwest Arkansas but also a shining example of the collaboration and innovation happening at PRHG. This cutting-edge facility results from the combined efforts of several teams within the Pet Resort Hospitality Group (PRHG) family, taking the best in design, process, and pet service from all our brands and bringing them into one location.
Why Bentonville?
While Paws ‘n’ Rec was born in Tampa, Florida, the PRHG team has deep roots in Bentonville. CEO, Jason Duffy, spent over a decade at Walmart before acting as the lead operator for the country’s largest chain of private pet resorts and calls Bentonville Home. He partnered with the Team at Paws ‘n’ Rec to help grow their brand beyond Tampa Bay, and he’d long dreamt of opening a world-class pet resort in Northwest Arkansas. Today, that dream is alive, and it barks!
Design and Layout: Drawing from the Best
The design of Paws ‘n’ Rec Bentonville incorporates best practices and innovative ideas from multiple PRHG resorts. For example, the kitchen area was inspired by the efficient use of space at Playtime Pet Resort, utilizing storage solutions for both dog belongings and food in a highly functional manner. This thoughtful design ensures that all pets’ needs are met quickly and efficiently, contributing to a seamless experience for both pets and the team.
The lobby design, particularly the central island, reflects elements taken from Paws ‘n’ Rec’s design ethos, carefully curated to enhance the guest experience while providing a central space for activity management. From the layout to the selection of activities, this space showcases how ideas were borrowed from multiple locations to create something special for Bentonville.
Collaboration Across PRHG Teams
Throughout the design and build process, teams from Meadowlake Pet Resort, Playtime Pet Resort, Olde Towne Pet Resort, Club K9, and Williamsburg Pet Resort shared their expertise, ensuring that every aspect of the facility was carefully considered. The Meadowlake team played a pivotal role, offering invaluable input on operational efficiency and layout. Many of Meadowlake’s best practices have been integrated into the Bentonville facility, ensuring smooth dog movements, optimized care, and an all-around superior experience.
The luxury suites at Paws ‘n’ Rec Bentonville, which offer a blend of comfort and advanced technology, were inspired by Olde Towne Pet Resort’s designs. Everything from the luxury suite layouts, TV setups, and camera systems were thoughtfully selected after feedback from multiple team members.

With contributions from every PRHG location, including input from Paws ‘n’ Rec’s own founding team, every corner of this Bentonville facility exudes care, innovation, and a commitment to the pets we serve.

Mike spent nearly a decade as the general manager of a large franchise dog daycare and is an expert on dog safety and pack behavior. Taylor spent 15+ years building technology companies before turning his love for hospitality, customer, and user experience towards the pet industry. Together, they’ve created the most beloved pet care brand in Florida, and they’re thrilled to be coming to Bentonville.
